Many times the car without a recent a repaint
has produced issues with rust that ranged from surface rust to through and through damage
in the panels and under-carriage. The entire car would need to be disassembled and each
panel stripped to bare steel in every nook and cranny if this rust cancer is to be stopped
dead in it's tracks. Great bodyshop skills and access to restoration parts makes quality
restoration car shops in demand.

Panel repairs are performed by cutting out portions of the
panels destroyed by rust and welding in new steel in those places using exact metal
fabrication pieces. Prepared panels are then treated with an acid primer corrosion
inhibitor to protect the steel for many years to come. Panels trap moisture and accelerate
rust throughs, if left unattended. All of the panels of restored Muscle  Cars
are then primed and made laser straight; ready to accept acrilic based exterior coats of
paint and clear coat sealers.
Engine compartment steps require the disassembly
of the car, from the firewall forward, allowing for a through engine compartment detail
and quality paint on inner fenders, radiator support, engine frame mounting points and
other front assembly components. Other important steps are the disassembly of the doors
and trunk area for stripping and runst proofing. This step also allows for weather stip
replacement and a re-chrome plating of the window trim and inspection and
lubrication of the window regulators and latch mechanism. Fresh hardware, nuts, bolts and
screws are used in the reassembly of the car and all Stainless steel trim is polished
before being reinstalled.

Additional fininishing touches: Aluminum
moldings are replaced and chrome bumpers plus door handles and morrors are either replaced
or re-chromed depending on availability.  All
of the weather stripping gets looked at and replaced including windshield gaskets, door
felts and body seals. Dash and instrument wiring gets modernization with when dash board
is removed. While the entire interior and dash is out of the car the instrumentation,
heating, and air conditioning are thoroughly inspected and repaired to work like new. The
dash board, steering column, steering wheel and other interior trim items are changed from
speciality OEM manufacturers, or auto junk yards if original items are beyond repair.
Transmission and engine work is performed in our shop area by skilled mechanics.
New soft trim including door panels, seat covers, carpet,
package tray and kick panels are ordered to match the original or new color scheme. Really
rare cars should always maintain their original interior and exterior colors and trim
pieces to hold their value. Once done, with a fresh engine rebuild in place your
"just like new" Muscle car is now ready to cruise down memory lane and roll up
to the winners circle at car shows.
